We provide a toddler program for 15-35 months old children and a preschool program for 3-5 years old children.
Our teachers always engage the Caterpillars in learning about the world around them and encourage their mental and physical development. Through well designed curriculum, they help the children build interest in learning and introduce them to life skills. Our toddlers will learn to vocalize sounds, count numbers, recognize pictures of familiar objects, dance with rhythm, put on a jacket and shoes, and acquire a variety of other skills.
Teachers work with each child in a series of stimulating activities that incorporate the natural routines of feeding and play.
Our bright, delightful Caterpillar Room is designed for toddlers to explore the world with their own interests and curiosity, build up their life skills, and develop good habits and routines.
The Approaches to Learning domain incorporates emotional, behavioral, and cognitive self-regulation under a single umbrella to guide teaching practices that support the development of these skills. In infancy, self-regulation occurs within the context of consistent, responsive relationships. In the next few years, the child becomes a more active agent, though adults still provide guid- ance.
Social development refers to a child’s ability to create and sustain meaningful relationships with adults and other chil- dren. Infants and toddlers develop relationship-building skills and behaviors through their earliest interactions with important adults in their lives. Children who develop trusting relationships with adults are able to more fully explore and engage in the world around them.
Toddlers learn to speak new words at an amazing pace and use language to express their needs, ask questions, and engage in short conversations.
Young children who are dual language learners (DLLs) may develop increased flexibility in thinking, working memory, and sustained attention as they learn multiple languages.
Cognitive development includes reasoning, memory, problem- solving, and thinking skills that help young children understand and organize their world.
Toddlers also explore concepts through a variety of symbolic activities, such as drawing and pretend play.
Perceptual, motor, and physical development is foundational to children’s learning in all areas because it permits children to fully explore and function in their environment. The use of perceptual information
is central to infants’ and toddlers’ interac- tions, exploration, and understanding of their experiences. It helps them to under- stand and direct their everyday experi- ences
